Ray Ottulich a New York native has fished since he was twelve, alternating between the Catskill Mountains, the South Shore of Long Island or the Jersey Coast. Living for twenty-four years in Montana and the Pacific Northwest, Ray brings a no BS, eye opening, perspective to Northeast Fly Fishing.
Ray was senior guide at Dave Blackburn's Kootenai Angler, was a member of the Montana Department of Fish Wildlife & Parks Kootenai River Management Committee and helped to pioneer float fishing on British Columbia's Elk River and fly fishing on the Island of Vieques in the Caribbean. Ray is also exploring the possibilities of fly fishing off the Adriatic coast.
Ray offers instruction in the sport of fly fishing and offers insight that only comes with putting serious time on the water. Ray floats the Delaware system, hikes and wades the Neversink Gorge, and chases striper and carp on Hudson River tributaries.
