Are you looking to catch that trophy trout, to bag a wild turkey or to explore New York's fabulous outdoor adventure lands?  Charles "Sonny" Somelofski has the skills and experience to ensure your next outdoor adventure exceeds all your expectations.

Guiding effectively takes a special combination of skills and experience.  For Sonny, that has come from more than 35 years of fishing, hunting, camping and hiking throughout New York and surrounding states.  He qualified to become a licensed New York State Outdoor Guide (#0133) in 1983 and earned the respect of other guides who elected him to 2 terms as the President of the NY State Guide's Association from 2008-2010 in addition to many terms on the Association's Board of Directors.  He is also certified by the Red Cross in first aid and CPR and is a former Emergency Medical Technician.

The most rewarding guided adventures are much more than just being taken to the best spot and set up for the catch come to you. An adventure with Sonny provides you with  the opportunity to learn and gain the experience you need to enjoy the outdoors for years and years to come.  Sonny trained in forrestry at Paul Smith's College in the Adirondaks and completed a BA in Education at Dowling College.  That preparation combined with his vast experience in the outdoors gives Sonny a unique set of skills to make your adventure a memorable one, one from which you will benefit for years.

Sonny's philosophy of guiding is to share his vast knowledge and expertise about the out-of-doors while you are on your adventure.  On top of that, you'll be marveled with folklore and stories about the Catskills and the Adirondacks and the amazing people who have inhabited these wondrous mountains.
