Unspoilt by commercial fisherman, the Manawatu-Wanganui Sea Fishing Club district is home to an incredible variety of species, including Snapper, Blue Cod, Tarakihi, Gurnard, Kahawai, Kingfish, Trevally, Hapuka and Crayfish.
Manawatu-Wanganui Sea Fishing Club is a short 3hr drive from Wellington and 31/2 hrs from inland Taupo. The Wanganui region has a well temperate climate district which offers great sea fishing conditions all year round. There is also plenty of attractions and accomodations available in the area if you want to make a ‘weekend of it’.
