Homer's Halibut get so big that they are affectionately called "Barn Doors". Charter Boat captains offer their years of experience to make your trip successful and fun.
In the past two years I have caught two halibut weighing over 100lbs just within two miles of our lodge. My personal best is 214lbs. Halibut fishing for me has to be one of the greatest joys in life.
If you like a challenge and a change of pace, the Anchor River (just 18 miles away) is teeming with Dolly Varden, Steelhead, and several varieties of salmon. Stop by the Homer Chamber of Commerce if you are interested in entering the Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby. There are many processing plants that will freeze, pack and ship your fish and wild berries home.
