Timber Wolf Lodge in Northwestern Ontario, the only resort on Winkle Lake, is 25 miles North on Hwy 502 (just 45 minutes from International Fall US/Canada border. Winkle Lake was chosen as the base site for the resorts operation because of its central location in a vast wilderness area, providing easy access to a variety of fishing and hunting.

 

Timber Wolf Lodge offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, excellent fishing and hunting and if you just enjoy nature you’ve come to the right spot.

 

From our base camp, anglers of all ages will enjoy some of the finest small mouth bass, northern pike, lake trout and perch fishing in NW Ontario. Walleye and crappie can be found in surrounding lakes, accessed by logging roads, highway or portage. Launching ramps are available on some lakes.

 

For the hunting enthusiast this areas network of logging roads offers trophy deer, moose and bear hunting, with an abundance of ruffed grouse.

 

Timber Wolf Lodge has been referred to as the best kept secret in Northwestern Ontario, Canada.

 

We offer clean, roomy one and two bedroom cabins. The cabins are designed with your comfort in mind and come complete with 3-piece bath and screened in deck.

 

The cabins are fully propane equipped (no electricity). The bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds, and a sofa bed is available in the living area. All bedding, towels, cooking and eating utensils are provided. Cook on a 4-burner propane range with oven. BBQ and refrigerators are located in screened in deck.

Timber Wolf Lodge
Wondering what your rates are for 2 guys. How is the duck hunting in the area. I'm assuming the rice bays on area lakes are good early, any in your area? How are duck numbers in September in your area? My cell is 612-590-9257, name is Bruce. We'd be hunting grouse, hopefully trying to find some ducks, and maybe, if time allows, do a little fishing (targeting walleyes and crappies if possible).
