World Class Fishing

TROPHY FISHING AT GODS LAKE HAVEN - MANITOBA, CANADA

Gods Lake features hundreds of islands, bays and reefs loaded with fish. Many Canadian lodges offer walleye and pike – Gods Lake offers you a Canadian “Grand Slam” of Trophy Lake Trout and Brook Trout as well as the famous Walleye and Pike.

Gods Lake Haven’s slogan is “Where the Fish Are”. Why? Because we are located on a prime section of the lake where shallows meet main lake depths. Our guests won’t have to spend all day running around in search of fish. Most of our Trophies are caught within a short boat ride of the lodge.

Northern Pike

How good is our fishing? 100+ fish days are common. Walleyes typically run up to 28″ with a few over 30″. Hundreds of pike over 40″ are caught every year. Lakers are usually in the 8-15 lb range with fish over 30 lbs in the mix. For a special bonus – take a day trip to Gods River and fish for Brook Trout that average 18-20″ and top out at 30″.

Brook Trout

We offer  new comfortable two persons rooms, as well as our popular log cabins that date from the early 1900’s. Our main lodge has a rich history as a former “Hudson’s Bay Company” trading post, delicious home-cooked meals and quality guides.

Wireless internet (Wifi) for your laptop and a satellite phone will keep you in touch with work and home.

We will do our best to ensure that you have a first class fishing experience in the remote Canadian Wilderness. At  Gods Lake Haven, we offer complete American Plan fishing adventures for Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout and Brook Trout. Your trip of a lifetime is an easy flight from the James Richardson International Airport located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The setting of Gods Lake Haven is unique, situated at a former Hudson's Bay Company trading post, on a sheltered, scenic bay on Gods Lake. The Archives of Manitoba have records of the Hudson Bay Company's journal posts, correspondence books and accounting records dating from 1825 which give a glimpse of the day to day lives of those who settled almost 200 years ago.
