Some of the very best saltwater fishing and duck hunting can be found right here in the southwest corner of Louisiana. Originally founded in 1975 Hackberry Rod & Gun has grown to be the largest and most respected guide service along the entire Gulf Coast. Owners Kirk, Guy and Bobby Joe Stansel began their fishing and hunting careers right here on Lake Calcasieu and are among the most knowledgeable and respected professionals in the country.
Located in the southwest corner of Louisiana the small town of Hackberry has become known as the"SPECKLED TROUT CAPITOL OF THE WORLD".
We charter up to 16 boats every day staffed with licensed professional guides. Most of who grew up right here on the lake. Dinning at the lodge is second to none. Authentic Cajun meals originally cooked and served by their mother Martha, are still the center piece of our kitchen. If you lose any weight during your stay "its' your fault"
