A word about the blinds....the structure is intended to conceal hunters, dogs, and equipment from the intended prey.
You'll be hunting from permanent as well as portable blinds - depending upon where the waterfowl are located. Most blinds have benches for your sitting, but do come prepared with some snacks, perhaps a thermos with hot beverage or other items you think you'll need.
Duck hunting is a cold-weather activity, and for some reason, ducks seem to fly best when the weather is at its worse. Come prepared with warm, insulated, camouflage clothing - that's essential. For a jacket, you’ll want something that is warm, waterproof and not too heavy nor too light.
Bring reliable waders that don’t leak, preferably the newer ones that are made of neoprene for warmth and flexibility.
Gloves of course are also essential, and a camouflage face-mask is highly recommended. Ducks can see light reflecting off your face from a long distance, and they will be far less likely to come-in close if they see anything that appears unusual or flashy to them.
