Getaway Adventures Lodge is located in Port Mansfield, Texas on Texas' world renowned lower Laguna Madre bay system.

The lower Laguna Madre is one of only three navigable hyper-saline lagoons in the northern hemisphere.  With gin clear waters in many parts of the bay, it is a sight fisherman's dream come true. Light tackle aficionados and fly fishermen flock to the unique sights of the lower Laguna Madre for a distinctly south Texas fishing experience.  The hyper-salinity has bred a unique estuary boasting one of the finest Speckled Trout fisheries in the world -- not to mention world class Red Fish and Flounder.

Getaway Adventures Lodge is under new management!  After 15 years of making people feel at home, the founders of Getaway Adventures Lodge, Bruce & Shirley Shuler have retired from the rigors of running the Lodge.  In late 2012 they sold the Lodge to new owners who share their passions of offering a first class hospitality and outdoors experience along with conservation of the unique fishery and environment of the lower Laguna Madre.

The new owners have begun to invest in the lodge with new furnishings, new menu items and new staff.  However, they have not lost sight of what made Getaway Adventures Lodge famous.  The old favorite menu items are still regular offerings and the commitment to making each guest feel at home remains.
