Despite the low flows the fishing has been actually...amazing! Much cooler temperatures are here as well as some very beneficial rain to even further cool off our rivers. There are some rivers that are under "hoot owl" restrictions which means you need to be done fishing by 2:00 pm. The Gallatin where we fish is completely open and fishing great. The Upper Madison is actually running high right now, not low... They are letting more water out of Hebgen Dam to add more oxygen to the water. The repairs on Hebgen Dam should be finished next month which should lower the water temperature by at least 10 degrees. The Yellowstone River is still fishing well in between the mud plugs that we have had due to the rains, although much better in the early part of the day than in the afternoon.
Anyway just wanted to let you all know that we are still fishing full time and it has been pretty darn good! Hope to see you all soon.
