CRADLE MOON LAKESIDE GAME LODGE is situated within the newly formed 1600 Hectare CRADLE MOON CONSERVANCY, literally 20 minutes out of Sandton and Pretoria, on the western Urban Edge of Johannesburg, where the Bushveld begins.
Formerly known as HEIA SAFARI RANCH, CRADLE MOON LODGE is located in the foothills of the Zwartkop Mountain and encompasses the 30 hectare CRADLE MOON LAKE, harnessing the Crocodile River for over 5 kilometers under the support of a 400 meter wide and 20 meter high natural stone man made wall.
With over 1000 hectares to traverse we are able to offer an authentic game experience as well as numerous eco-activities such as mountain biking, game walks, trail running, swimming and paddling.
Our accommodation is in 50 traditional thatch styled rondavels, and we cater for conferences, weddings, celebrations as well as romantic and family getaways. We also offer game drives and a “booze cruise” on the lake, amongst an abundance of animals including rhino, hippo, giraffe and most other general species.
Our two restaurants boast awesome cuisine, with the Dam Wall Bar boasting the best setting in Gauteng!
