TROUT AND FLY-FISHING
Budmarsh is situated less than a few kilometers from the source of the Magalies River. In winter, our dam is stocked with the best trout from Mpumalanga province, and is ideal for those looking to relax and enjoy a quiet afternoon of fly-fishing.
CHEESE TASTING AT THE VAN GAALEN CHEESE FACTORY
Open seven days a week, the Van Gaalen farm produces a delicious range of cheeses based on traditional Dutch recipes. The factory offers guided tours for those interested in learning more about the cheese-making process, as well as cheese tasting sessions. The farm shop features a wonderful selection of cheeses and other foodie delights, and visitors can tuck into a superb breakfast or lunch while enjoying glorious views of the mountains and nearby dam.
