For a little bit of heaven, on the outskirts of the Drakensberg mountains near Vrede in the beautiful North Eastern Free State, only 2 – 2 1/2 hours drive from Johannesburg, come to Little Long Creek. It consists of 4 km of stream that runs into the perennial Kommandospruit. Abundant Yellow Fish and Trout are available in three weirs and Yellow Fish in the Kommandospruit. The area is also well known for its large variety of birdlife and beautiful scenery. A Six-bed chalet and rondavel sleeping two form the complex. Classy open plan dining, living and kitchen area with indoor braai facilty (as well as outside), verandah for socialising. Bring your own bikes for biking, beautiful veld flowers, walking on farm and close to the internationally renowned Seekoeivlei Wetlands near Memel. Arcadia Farm is one of South Africa’s leading breeders of Bonsmara Stud cattle. The De Villiers’ have approximately 600 stud cows and are, apart from using their best bulls for natural mating, also doing AI and Embryo Collection. Fly fishing at its best while the kid’s experience touch farming! Arthur and Sanet are your hosts. A NEW LARGE DAM HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED AT THE CHALET AND OFFERS EXCELLENT BIRDING AND FLYFISHING OPPORTUNITIES!
