Vermilion Dam Lodge on Beautiful Lake Vermilion,
Rated Among the Finest Northern Minnesota Resorts

We’re located on Lake Vermilion, one of Minnesota's most pristine bodies of water. Vermilion is known for its great fishing, including muskies, walleyes, smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, bluegills, crappies and perch. The scenery is breathtaking, a rocky, hilly landscape that was sculpted by glaciers. Vermilion extends 42 miles from east to west, 1,200 miles of shoreline in all, dotted with 365 islands large and small. Vermilion Dam Lodge is ideal for vacationers looking to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the outdoors – and for anglers interested in a lake that boasts a long history of trophy fish.

Our resort is tucked into Wolf Bay on the northwest section of the lake. It sits at the headwaters of the Vermilion River and is bordered by the Superior National Forest. We feature impressive views from all of our cabins and offer the flexibility to fish, cruise or canoe the vast expanse of Lake Vermilion or the quietness of the river that’s just a short walk away.

Our 19 cabins accommodate from two to 15 people, with many featuring fireplaces and Jacuzzis. Guests have the option of having their meals cooked by the resort’s chef on our American plan. Whether you're gathering a group for fishing or seeking a family vacation, we offer a large array of amenities. Our lodge has wireless Internet access, a general store and a game room. There’s a heated swimming pool, a gazebo overlooking the rapids that fall into the Vermilion River, a playground for the kids and a sandy beach filled with kayaks, paddleboats and canoes. Dock service and fish cleaning are provided. Boats are available on nearby Wolf Lake and the river. And there’s a laundromat.
