Fishing Report

The surface temp. on Lake Cumberland is 83 and the striper fishing has been fantastic the past couple of weeks.  Like every summer, the fish have begun their annual migration down the lake and the movement can mean having to hut for fish some mornings.  However, their landing spots are predictable and we've had plenty of action.  Live alewives are the bait of choice and are easy to harvest at the present.  Fish are congregating at the mouths of creeks and often on channel bank rock walls.  My best lines have been 1 1/2 oz rigs fished 40 - 55 ft behind planer boards.  I have also spoken with a few guys who are doing very well downrigging doll flys as well.  If you would like a more up to date report or info on lake conditions, feel free to give me a call.  Tight lines, Phil  606-271-2247
