Fishing in Alabama State Parks

Choose one of the many premier fishing destinations in Alabama State Parks

The fishing enthusiast will find freshwater and saltwater fishing at its finest in Alabama. Our lakes, rivers and streams are home to a variety of species including bass, bream, crappie, catfish, walleye and rainbow trout to name a few! At our Gulf State Park, the saltwater angler will find excitement in landing the big one from the pier or right from the beach. Everything from king mackerel, amberjack, cobia, flounder, bluefish, tuna and more. Many of our parks offer full marina services, including boat rentals, bait & tackle, snacks and cold drinks. Regardless of the type of fishing you may choose, please be sure to check state licensing regulations and creel limits. For the more competitive anglers, several of our Alabama State Parks play host to a number of tournaments throughout the year and we welcome you and your family to join us.
