MAINE's Casco Bay is ideally situated on the Northern terminus of the legendary annual migration of striped bass along the Atlantic Coast. It’s proving to be one of most consistent fisheries for striped bass and bluefish north of Cape Cod, and arguably one of the best kept secrets in East Coast saltwater fly fishing.
The southernmost end of Casco Bay touches the vibrant city of Portland, Maine, and the mouths of the Presumpscot and Royal rivers. These river mouths attract spawning bait fish, and the stripers follow. After chasing the bait fish, the stripers move off the river mouths and onto the flats and estuaries of Casco Bay.
