RiverGirl Fishing Company is a full-service fishing and rental shop located in the historic crossroads community of Todd, NC, where Elk Creek flows into the South Fork of the New River. Our goal is to help our customers enjoy the river by providing quality education, equipment, and guidance.
Founded by fisheries biologist Kelly McCoy, Rivergirl Fishing Company occupies a historic train depot in the delightful town of Todd—home of numerous bluegrass festivals, a vibrant local community, and one of the nation’s oldest continuously-operated general stores. The New River, widely believed to be second in age only to the Nile, runs a unique south-to-north course through the town.
This distinctive setting, both quaint and untamed, provides the ideal backdrop for the fun-loving and conservation-conscious Rivergirl Fishing Company. We aim to instill a love of the natural landscape by providing quality service and stewardship education.
