The Lower Illinois River is an 8 mile long section of the river that offers year around trout fishing for rainbows and browns.
It also has a good population of stipers in the winter and summer months.
I've been fishing the Lower Illinois River for over 25 years and guide for stipers and trout.
The striper fishing is done at the Gore landing camping area. The trout fishing goes out of Marvel trout camp.
