Every spring Striped Bass also known as Stripers make their spawning run up the Hudson River . The run generally begins in early March around Havestraw Bay area. From early April through the month of May, Stripers will be in and around many northern Hudson River locations.
The Kingston , Esopus Meadows, Saugerties and Catskill areas become very productive areas to fish for Striped Bass.
I have been fishing Stripers for many years now and run a fishing charter service specifically for these fish. I use a number of methods from trolling with lures, drift fishing and live bait.
