The trout waters of Maryland's Appalachian Mountains are widely known throughout the Middle Atlantic States. Garrett County’s pure water and virgin habitat make for a strong trout fishery. Bottom-release dams provide for nearly year-round fly fishing. We encourage catch and release fishing as a way for each person to contribute to the quality of this fishery.
