Capt. Chris Newsome offers fly and light tackle fishing charters on the Chesapeake Bay of Virginia. Newsome is a native of the Tidewater region and has guided anglers on Virginia's saltwater for over a decade and a half. As VA's only full-time saltwater fly and light tackle guide, Chris is widely regarded as an expert in his craft. Specializing in fishing the shallows of the Middle Peninsula, Captain Chris guides anglers using fly, spin and bait casting tackle for striped bass, speckled trout, redfish, flounder, bluefish and more. Enthusiastic and patient, Captain Chris welcomes all skill levels from children to accomplished anglers. He always works hard to share his knowledge and create a memorable fishing experience for his clients.
