YOUR CAPTAIN
Your Captain is Robert ‘Troy’ Fountain. He is Coast Guard Certified, carries a 100-ton masters license, and is a card holder of the Mississippi Charter Boat Captains Association (MCBCA). Your deckhands are CPR certified and drug tested, and are also members of the MCBCA. At Chandeleur Charters, we believe deckhands can truly make or break a trip. That’s why we pride ourselves in keeping properly trained, hard-working, hospitable hands on deck.
THE DOUBLE TROUBLE
Your mothership is the Double Trouble, a 65 ft. trawler with twin-diesel engines and a single diesel generator. The Double Trouble transports a fleet of six Sea-N-Sport 14′ v-hull skiffs, fully-rigged and ready for fishing. You’ll find more information about our skiffs, here.
FISHING, FUN, HOSPITALITY
In addition to experiencing some of the best fishing the Gulf Coast has to offer, you’ll be treated to top-notch service from the time you set foot on the dock. When you wake up, breakfast will be ready for you, and our deckhands will be readying your skiff for the day. They’ll load your tackle, gear, and drinks, while you get ready to head out for the day. When you return to the Double Trouble, all you have to do is step off the skiff and relax. We’ll unload all your gear and get your fish on ice while you sip a cold drink and enjoy a hot meal of fresh fish, crawfish etouffee, or a grilled steak and baked potato.
