Beaver Dam Boat Rentals has been in operation since 1903. Nestled on the Oranokin Creek, it was once home to the Lenape Indians who prized this area for its rich abundance of crabs. It is still known today as the hottest spot in the state to catch your own crabs. Every boat rental includes: the boat, (see list), oars/paddles, anchor, life jackets for all members of your party and a crab net. We will tow you out to one of the four salt ponds where the crabs are waiting in huge numbers. We'll come out and check on you frequently - to move you, or you can row yourself to another spot if you prefer. We'll have extra bait and other supplies on board so you don't have to stop your fun when you find the perfect spot. When you come in, have a drink and a snack in the newly renovated store.
*The tow guides will take you to the best crabbing spots in New Jersey but we would like to remind you that the crabs are in fact wild and there is no guarantee that they will be in the mood to climb into your trap. A full bushel of crabs is NOT guaranteed.
