The resort is located just 10 minutes west of Burnet, Texas on the shores of Lake Buchanan, recognized by anglers for its fantastic fishing. Big Chief RV Resort offers vacationers large, modern, pull through RV sites as well as clean and well stocked rental cabins; perfect for the couple or family that want to make long lasting memories in our little “piece of heaven”.
Big Chief has large, full hook-up sites, comfortable cabins, free limited Wi-Fi gorgeous custom swimming pool, clean clubhouse with full kitchen, covered pavilion for enjoying breathtaking sunsets over beautiful Lake Buchanan.

Our guests will enjoy a wide range of activities from watching the many native whitetail deer that serve as Big Chief’s welcoming committee to all kinds of water activities including world-class fishing for striped bass, hybrid stripers, white bass, largemouth bass, catfish, crappie and more.
We’re located on the south end of Lake Buchanan (the deep end) so access to resort and to the water and fun boating is always available.
Our resort offers a boat launch ramp and courtesy dock where you can launch or arrange for local professional fishing guide to pick you up. The lake is so vast that you'll never feel crowded! The shoreline consists primarily of granite gravel providing clean and clear water, ideal for swimming, wading, and sunbathing.
