Coteau Lodge is located in the heart of the prairie pothole country in central North Dakota.
This area is famous for its duck production as well as excellent local Canada goose populations. Our area is also in the middle of the central flyway so we see excellent numbers of ducks including mallards, pintail, gadwall, redheads, bluebills, widgeon, geese including all sizes of Canadians, snows and blues plus sandhill crane and tundra swan on their way south.
Pheasant numbers are way down in our area and much of North Dakota, with the continued loss of CRP it will be a slow recovery. Sharptail grouse numbers are down also with some areas holding decent numbers of birds. Sharptail are best hunted in September as they get a bit wild as the season progresses.
Tim and Cody Frantz are committed to giving you the best value in North Dakota hunting. We will custom tailor a hunt to your needs whether guided, unguided or a combination of both. Tim, Cody and Casey are licensed guides with many years of experience hunting this area.
We have over 25,000 acres of private land to hunt on and thousands of acres on day leases. We have been very successful at keeping hunters busy and would be happy to supply you with references.
