Trophy hunts for whitetail deer, mule deer, mountain lion, bobcat, black bear, elk and moose around Sandpoint Idaho  is  Buckshot  Outfitting's   specialty. We take great pride in being an Idaho outfitter offering the best in Idaho hunts and your satisfaction is extremely important to us.  Whether you choose an archery hunt or a rifle hunt, our experienced and hardworking guides will do all they can to insure that your hunt is a success.  There are definitely larger outfitters in Idaho but none that will give you more personalized service than a small family-run outfit like ours.  No outfit can be any better than the territory on which it is operated, and that is why we've chosen this area in northern Idaho. This area harbors the habitat, age structure, genetics and nutrition necessary to consistently produce trophy animals of all species for which we offer hunts. We've been outfitting here for over 14 years which has given us an extremely thorough knowledge of the vast area we hunt. We've got our favorite spots but we're still in the woods year 'round always looking for something newer and better.

Our exclusive outfitting and guiding territory is located in the panhandle of northern Idaho, and encompasses over 1200 square miles (768,000 acres). It extends north and south of Sandpoint, Idaho and Lake Pend'Oreille. Only 25 miles north of the area lies the Canadian border. The terrain varies from gently rolling valley bottoms to some of the steepest, most rugged country in the west. This is timber country, broken only by clear cuts, natural meadows, a few hay fields, and mountain tops above timberline. Lakes and small ponds dot the landscape, creating ideal habitat for big game.
