Buffalo Creek Guide Service

Several thousand acres of beautiful hunting country await you at the Buffalo Creek Hunting lodge.  It consists of flat land with slight ridges of hardwoods and pine thickets surrounded by cypress swamps.  Our lodge is located along the beautiful Six Runs Creek in Sampson County, North Carolina.

Sampson County is well known for quality bucks and an abundance of wild hogs.  This area has everything a hunter dreams of with 75 acres of wildlife food plots, corn, soybeans fields and year round feeding programs which ensure quality game.  Deer, hogs and other game frequent these fields and feeders to feed, along with supplemental feedings.  This produces some of the largest racks in North Carolina.

We have 12 different hunting areas that we can alternate hunting groups.  This allows our hunters access to areas that have not been over hunted.  Many large bucks dwell in the swamps where large areas of thickets provide them with security to reach a mature age and rack size.  This area consistently produces impressive racks and with 12-30 daily sighting, we end up with happy hunters and repeat business. We allow hunters to take any size bucks.  During the rut season these larger bucks leave the security of the swamps to search for does in the fields and clearings.  Still, the quantity and number of deer in these areas surprise many hunters.  Many trophy class bucks come out of these areas each year.

The Buffalo Creek Lodge is open to archery, muzzleloader, rifle, shotgun and handgun hunters.  Whether you hunt deer, hog, turkey, bobcat or small game we can satisfy your hunting desires.  All our areas offer large populations of hogs and bobcats.  Deer only or combination hunts can be arranged.  We strive for a quality hunt and to ensure the best opportunities for our hunters we try to take smaller groups, so early reservations are recommended.  Ask us about our secluded private cabin located on the banks of the Six Runs Creek.  This cabin can hold four hunters or a small family and is fully furnished with kitchen, satellite TV and all the comforts of home.

For those individuals that limit out early or would like a break, we offer a wide range of summer activities for the hunter and non-hunters alike.  They include canoeing, wildlife photography, wildlife viewing, hiking, camping, target shooting and skeet, striper fishing and fresh water fishing.  There are two ponds stocked with large mouth bass, bluegill and other fish species available for everyone, allowing them midday activities.  Don't forget to bring your fishing gear.
