Join us at Ocracoke Waterfowl to experience the tradition of Open Water Duck Hunting in North Carolina.
You will have the opportunity to hunt the open waters of the Pamlico Sound for various waterfowl species. Pintails, Redheads, Black Ducks, Green-Winged Teal, Gadwall, Mallards, Buffleheads, Canvasbacks, Scaup, Brant, & Tundra Swan are commmonly harvested from our blinds. We can accommodate hunters of all ages and experience levels, and will target the waterfowl species of your choice. All of our hunts are fully guided by local hunter, and licensed hunting guide, Matt Pritchard.
Our blinds are typically built for 3 people, 2 hunters and your guide. The blinds are not all covered but are bushed and have built in seats, as well as dog platforms. Trained retrievers are welcome! While hunting any waterfowl species in North Carolina steel shot, or any other non-toxic shot, is required. We recommend a minimum shot size of #2’s or #3’s in a Modified Choke for all open water duck hunts. Swan generally require larger shot like BB or T shot.
