Stuttgart Hunting Club

In order to make a decision on where to find the best duck hunting experience Stuttgart, Arkansas has to offer, you might want to do some research on the history of duck hunting. You will find that the McCollum family was one of the first to develop land for commercial duck hunting in the early 1900’s. Kenneth "Slick" McCollum’s Stuttgart Hunting Club has been an inspiration in the development of Stuttgart's duck hunting success, making it into what is known today as "The Rice and Duck Capital of the World".
 

Located in the Mississippi Flyway, Slick’s is just 10 miles west of Stuttgart, bordered between Bayou Meto and the Big Ditch, in the heart of the Grand Prairie, where millions of waterfowl migrate for the winter. The Grand Prairie is the widest section of the Mississippi River Delta, where an abundance of rice and soybean crops are grown. The Grand Prairie is also comprised of river bottoms and hardwood timber tracks.
 

The property has 1200 acres of privately owned flooded green timber. Under our waterfowl management program, 450 acres of the property is used as rest areas. A portion of the rest areas contain rice, soybeans, and corn which ensure that ducks will have enough food to remain on the McCollum property throughout the season. We limit the number of hunters in the woods, so that some holes can be rested and rotated on a daily basis. In an effort to lower hunting pressure, we offer morning hunts only.
 

Slick’s is in its 3rd generation of family owned and operated management. Over the years, we have made lots of friends that continue to come back year after year. Some groups have been hunting at Slick’s for 25 years, and that is a tradition we want to continue. We would like to invite you to come experience what duck hunting in Stuttgart was meant to be.
