Located in South Florida, J & R Outfitters prides itself on being more than just another hunting operation. Although hunting is the name of the game, J & R Outfitters’ guided trips emphasize the total hunting experience.

We operate on 4,000-plus acres of the most picturesque and game-rich land in Florida. Our hunting grounds offer a stunning variety of beautiful scenery, ranging from age-old cabbage and oak hammocks to open prairies.

A wide selection of game call this land home, including deer, wild hogs, quail, wild turkey, ducks, and snipe. Many species of exotic deer and antelope, as well as one of the largest herds of Asian Water Buffalo in the United States, roam our hunting grounds.

J & R Outfitters' staff takes care of all the details so that the sportsman can simply concentrate on enjoying the serenity of the setting. We'll pick you up at the airport, get you settled into a local hoteland take you to the hunting site where the action begins. You’ll enjoy a comfortable and professional hunt run by knowledgeable and personable hunting guides.

When the morning of exhilarating quail action is over, we’ll treat you to a midday break where you can catch your breath and enjoy a delicious wild game lunch. After a couple of relaxing hours in the shade, you can continue to enjoy the quality quail shooting or take advantage of one of our combination hunts. A brisk quail shoot in the morning followed by an afternoon spent stalking ornery wild hog is a memorable combination. Or, you might want to further test your skills with an afternoon on the snipe field, where the action is hot and heavy. Some sportsmen like to start with bagging a world class Axis deer, Fallow deer or Sika deer, followed by some wing shooting. Or, you might choose to hunt Water Buffalo, one of the few dangerous game left in America, with an experienced Tanzanian professional hunter. All our hunts can be customized to your personal preferences.

Entering our 3000-acre hunting preserve is like stepping back into the Florida of 200 years ago, Proceeds from J&R Outfitters’ hunting operation have allowed us to make vast environmental improvements in our preserve. Over the last eight years, we’ve removed hundreds of tons of exotic plants. We’ve restored many wetlands and are involved in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Wetlands Reserve Program. In addition to our diverse hunting stock, our unspoiled land is a critical refuge for dozens of native species from sand hill cranes and eagles to gopher tortoises. Without the hunting revenues, these environmental efforts simply would not be possible. The best conservationists in the world are hunters because maintaining a healthy natural environment is critical to what we do.
