Quail Hunts:

Silver Lake Preserve is a unique place where you can find excitement in every direction. Our upland bird program is designed specifically for the enjoyment and challenges of plantation style hunting. We pride ourselves on providing unequalled customer service and are capable of meeting almost any request. This upland bird hunting operation is one of the finest in the country and one which will make you feel like family from your very first hunt.

At Silver Lake Preserve, we offer some of the best quail hunting in Florida! Hunt for native bobwhite quail behind some of the best Pointers in the state, while enjoying the natural beauty of south Florida. An abundance of native grasses mixed with spectacular native pine stands create the ideal habitat for hunting.

Osceola Turkey:

There is nothing better than the spring turkey season at Silver Lake Preserve. The Osceola Wild Turkey is the native species of this region and a highly sought quarry. These fine long beards are a wary breed which test the skills of even the most experienced hunter. 

Through good habitat management and light hunting pressure, our turkey population is plentiful. At Silver Lake Preserve we offer a very limited number of hunts during the spring season: only three hunts each spring. 

Our hunts are 3 night, 2 1/2 day hunts for a maximum of 4 hunters at any one time (providing each one the opportunity to harvest one bird). Guides are not necessary to accompany the group, but if one is desired we can supply them for an additional fee of $250



Alligator Hunts:

With access to over 337,000 acres of private ranch lands in central Florida to conduct our hunts, Silver Lake Preserve offers an incomparable alligator program. As a private lands alligator trapper, we have the opportunity to hunt the entire year (with some size limit restrictions).

All of our alligator hunts are fully guided - and we guarantee to locate an alligator in the size range of your choosing. The fee covers all costs for transportation, guide, meals, and license.
- September 1 - May 31
Harvest any alligator over 6 feet in length
- April 1 - August 31
Harvest any alligator greater than 9 feet in length



Hog Hunts:

Experience the thrill of hog hunting at Silver Lake Preserve - where the hogs are waiting in abundance! Don't miss the opportunity to harvest a meat or trophy hog with your choice of bow, gun, muzzleloader, or crossbow. 
 

Our day hunts are conducted from tree stands, where each hunter is situated on a stand that best suits the chosen weapon. All stands are optimally placed in high traffic areas or near feeders to give the hunter great advantage to harvest a premium hog. Hunters are not permitted to shoot from ground blinds or ground stalk. 

Hog hunts are conducted from Sunrise to 10:00 A.M. or 3:00 P.M. to Sunset (times are approx.) 


There is a 1,000 yard shooting range on the preserve to assist in sighting in the biggest guns you have.
