Shelter Creek Plantation is a 350-acre controlled hunting preserve in rural Pender County located between Burgaw and Jacksonville, North Carolina.. Many of our members enjoy the club because we are a short drive from Wilmington, North Carolina. The property is uniquely situated between two major Federal Game Lands; Holly Shelter which occupies approximately 75,000 acres and Angola Bay, currently comprised of 33,000 acres. Shelter Creek Plantation has been serving the hunting community for over four decades providing great hunting and shooting to multiple generations. We place great emphasis on safety and strongly encourage development of shooting and hunting skills in our youth. We are a family oriented organization embracing not just the individual hunter or shooter, but the siblings, moms, dads and grandparents. All are welcome!! We offer NRA certified Rifle and Shotgun instruction and we employ a Chief Range Safety Officer to promote and enforce all safety protocols. For the corporate client, we offer corporate events from small and personal to large and commercial. Any corporate event you can imagine, we can design and implement for you.Our operation is designed to maximize each and every hunt opportunity found in southeastern North Carolina. Any hunting allowed by North Carolina law through the North Carolina Wildlife Commission is available to you: Big game hunting includes deer and bear, wing shooting includes migratory waterfowl, such as ducks and doves as well as upland bird species such as Quail, Pheasant and Chukar. We also have a 70-foot Tower that enables us to provide shooting opportunities simulating an “English driven Pheasant Shoot” featuring high passing shots. When it comes to shooting sports, we have a variety of disciplines: Regulation Skeet, 5 Stand Sporting Clays, rifle / pistol range and a 3D Archery range provide our shooting sports members a variety of skill sharpening opportunities. Due to our fortunate location and years of experience, we specialize in providing excellent wild duck hunting.
