We are extremely selective in our breeding program and typically have a maximum of two litters per year. We have been breeding German Shorthaired Pointers for over 25 years. We select for breeding only dogs which will further our goal of producing elite hunting dogs with the temperament to be a great in home family companion. Our puppies have been placed in hunting homes all over the country.
Training
Our “board in” Gun Dog Training Program has been developed over the last 25 years and has been proven successful over and over for both pointing dogs and retrievers. The 12 week Gun Dog Program is very structured, yet flexible enough to ensure each dog achieves success. The goal of the program is to teach your animal to not only skillfully perform its hunting duties, but to do them as an obedient partner in the field (and in your home!). We also offer “Tune Up” and “Conditioning” programs. Our training programs are available to the public and we have accepted dogs from all over the United States.
Hunting
Upland Meadows is a 400 acre fully State of Michigan licensed ‘Members Only’ Shooting Preserve. We have multiple hunting fields prepared to enjoy the hunting of Pheasant, Chukar Partridge or Quail. We also offer great Deer and Turkey hunting opportunities to members. Membership is limited, but surprisingly affordable. Upland Meadows facilities include a Skeet Range and a stocked fishing pond.
