While you are here you will hunt a wide variety of habitats which range from CRP, shelterbelts and different types of row crops. Your hunt includes a guide, transportation to and from the fields and well trained dogs. Client dogs are more than welcome but please contact us for more information.
Your day usually proceeds as follows...
8:00 am Breakfast
9:00 am Preparation/Trap Shooting
10:00 am Hunt Begins
1:00 pm Lunch & Rest
2:00 pm Hunt Resumes
5:00 pm Relaxation
7:00 pm Dinner
Trap shooting is available upon request to prepare for the days hunt.
Twelve and Twenty gauge guns are most common. We sell shells for these two sizes if that is more convenient for you.
South Dakota weather varies so much in the fall. Visit the following site to help plan for the weather for the days you are planning to visit.
Safety is our top priority! Each hunter is required to wear a suficient amount of hunter orange and safetly glasses. You will be given a commplimentry orange hat but a vest with orange would be strongly recommended.
Gear:
• Gun (12 gauge highly recommended)
• Hard side locking gun case (required on all commercial flights)
• Hunting pants, boots and socks
• Hunting Jacket - dress in layers
• Gloves/warm gloves for late-season hunting
• Rain gear
• Protective eyewear
• Casual lodge clothing
