My name is Matt Tinker. I have been guiding for 20 years and received my Master Maine Guide License in '99. I am not a big outfitter, I am a small home business which allows me to make each trip unique. I guide year round, not just hunting season. Moose are my main business. From finding sheds in the winter, canoeing to see them in the lake, or photographing moose in the fall foliage, being out there gives me a great idea where the animals are all year.
I have been guiding moose hunts since ’99. Including myself, I have helped harvest 26 moose in that time. We have hunted and harvested both cows and bulls in WMD’s 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 13 as well as in NH. Our 2012 hunts were awesome, we harvested 4 moose. 2 cows and 2 bulls, a 47” bull in WMD 7 and a 53 ½” bull with a B&C gross 182 5-8 and net 175 5-8 MASTC score in WMD 4
During my time as a guide, I have had the opportunity to work with several other guides and spent several seasons working on and off for outfitters during hunting seasons. I have guided Bear hunts, Deer hunts, and Moose hunts for the outfitters and learned many things with them about hunting.
