Cosco’s Yukon Outfitting Ltd. is 100% owned and operated by the Cosco family. Tara and I are living our dream, outfitting in one of the best big game hunting areas in the world, 50 air miles from where we were born.
Tara was raised in Haines Junction, 100 miles west of Whitehorse. She spent her summers helping out on her dad’s gold mine and guiding tourists on hiking and river trips in and around Kluane National Park. After receiving her business accounting degree, Tara started her own bookkeeping and tax service business which keeps her busy when she is not cooking, wrangling, guiding, or expediting for the outfit. Her attention to detail and organizational ability ensure nothing is overlooked.
I was born in Whitehorse but was raised in Alberta. We would always come back to the Yukon for the summer to enjoy all that is has to offer. After majoring in beer and rugby, but somehow getting an undergraduate degree, I moved back to Whitehorse. Since then I have been hunting, guiding, and trapping all over the Yukon. Aside from being a Canadian Ranger, outfitting is how I make my living. All my time is spent working on or in our guiding area.
Together, along with an incredible support group of family and friends in the Yukon, we will do all that we can to make hunting with us the best experience possible.
