Highwind Lake Camp is a small, family owned camp located 35 miles SE of Kenora, Ontario. Discover peace and tranquility in this remote camp located in the wilderness of NW Ontario.

We are off the grid producing our own power, no phones or television.

Let our camp be the place that gives you the break you need from the busyness of life as you rest, read, fish, swim or go for a hike up our hill to experience the view of our lake from the top. You can do lots or you can do little as you experience Highwind!

Guided Black Bear Hunting

At Highwind we offer an affordable, quality black bear hunt for both rifle and bow hunters. We have a high success rate due to our guaranteed working baits and large Bear Management Area that is home to a healthy population of black bear.

Our hunting area is surrounded by miles and acres of uninhabited land covered in the rugged forests and terrain of the Canadian Shield. Highwind Lake Camp is a small camp, owned and operated by Lyn and Marie Marks. We are in an isolated, unpopulated area - very peaceful and quiet.

Our hunters can head out right from their cabins with their quads or trucks to reach their bait sites which will have been pre-baited and guaranteed working.

If you're interested in fishing, the lake trout season is open until September 30th or you can try to catch a trophy northern or small mouth bass in the deep clear waters of Highwind lake or the many surrounding lakes in our area.

Highwind Lake Camp offers the opportunity to hunt for ruffed grouse in our remote, wilderness setting.

Our hunters can head out on their quads or in their trucks right from their cabins or campsites to hunt on our extensive system of abandoned logging roads.
