Proud to be Continuing 30 Years of Backcountry Hunting Tradition in Northern BC

Over 3000 square miles of remote Northern BC hunting terrain awaits you and your sense of adventure. Circle M Outfitters offers professional guiding and outfitting for Mountain Goat, Moose,Caribou, Grizzly, Black Bear and Wolf; pluswinter trapline adventures, backcountry horse trips and excellent fishing. Our territory is a dramatic mix of rugged glacier capped peaks, rolling alpine hills, willow covered meadows, meandering river valleys and numerous crystal clear lakes.

Your host, Fraser MacDonald, is proud to bring you a distinct backcountry hunting experience. Fraser is a Wildlife Biologist, who has studied Mountain Goats, Moose, Grizzlies, Caribou and Wolves all over Northern BC. His love of wildlife and the remote wilderness areas they inhabit eventually led him to pursue a career as a Professional Guide Outfitter.

After looking at several guiding territories in Northern British Columbia, Fraser went with what felt right and decided on a partnership with Dennis Smith and Bear Paw Guide Outfitters (since 1981). This decision was based on several reasons, not the least of which was the high density of Trophy Mountain Goats, Bull Moose and Grizzly Bears in the guiding territory. Dennis and Fraser first met when Dennis was trapping wolves as part of a caribou/wolf predation study that Fraser was working on. Fraser started guiding backcountry hunts for Dennis and eventually the friendship developed into the successful partnership it is today, with Fraser operating the backcountry hunts under Circle M Outfitters.
