Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Talbot County Outfitters is a top destination for hunters that truly understand a fair chase hunt. No matter if you are interested in a Whitetail or sika deer, Canadian geese, sea ducks, or Turkey hunting we are here to guide you in the right direction.  At Talbot County Outfitters we are committed to providing each and every hunter with the opportunity to make their hunt one they will remember for a lifetime. It is extremely important to us that no matter how successful the hunt may be, success is not always measured from the harvest, but how long the hunt will be remembered.

All of our property is privately leased directly from the landowners in Talbot, Dorchester, and Caroline counties. They range from crop fields,  big timber, pine thickets, and marshland. Throughout the whole year we manage our deer herd with countless hours of scouting using trail cams and good old fashioned sitting and glassing. Treestands will already be set and safe for the hunt upon arrival. We use “buddy stands” made by Ameristep for all gun hunters and Ameristep “hang on” platforms with “climbing sticks” for all archery hunters. We also have  ground blinds and box blinds. Stands are constantly being moved or added for better shot opportunity.

Another way we manage our property is by only booking 50 whitetail and 20 sika deer hunters per annual season. This includes archery, muzzleloader, and shotgun seasons. Our customer recidivism is based off of success and with too much pressure on wild game results in low success.  We even manage our goose and duck properties by allowing a few days rest in between each hunt and stopping the hunt at noon to give our birds time to rest.

Anyone who has been on a guided hunt knows that the main cog in the hunt is their guide. Talbot County Outfitters takes pride in their guides and are chosen not only for their skill set in the outdoors, but also based on their character. A guide must be responsible, honest, and most importantly trustworthy. Each guide knows and has scouted the property they will be guiding on. It’s his job to make your hunt an easy one. Trust Your Guide…Remember that his reputation is on the line.

All deer hunts are guided. The guide will meet his hunters in the morning and take them to and from their designated stand. All hunters communications will be through their guide for that hunt. Bird hunts are fully guided and the guide is in charge of setting decoys, calling, and bird retrieval.

***All hunters are responsible for purchasing a Maryland Hunting License and the appropriate stamps and tags for their hunt*** All purchases can be made online before the hunt or upon arrival of the hunt
