Howdy! We are a family run ranch that is comprised of three divisions: the Lonesome Coyote, Dos Rios and Chiminea, which total over 8500 acres. We are located in McMullen County, Texas (that is about an hour and a half south of San Antonio, Texas.)
Approximately 2,000 acres between the three divisions is free range hunting at its finest and the remaining 6,500 acres is spread between five of the best high fence pastures in South Texas. We understand that everyone has a different outlook on hunting so we are happy to take you hunting in either the free range or the high fence. All three divisions are bordered by the Nueces River and have numerous ponds/watering holes that provide exceptional upland game bird hunting.
Although hunting is our primary focus four months out of the year, there are numerous other opportunities to experience the Lonesome Coyote Ranch without hunting. You can hold corporate meetings, family reunions, or any other retreat/get together. The Lonesome Coyote Ranch can take your group on wildlife tours, lead games or team building activities or your group can just relax by the pool or fire pit.
All of our ranches will provide our guests with wonderful memories or a hunting experience second to none because we do things right!
We are confident in our statement that we do things right. The food and lodge are better than any hotel. There is a huge variety of plant and wildlife. Our relationship begins from the time you book your hunt through your entire stay and after you leave. And we are not a revolving door operation. Our goal is to make every person that comes to our ranch feel like part of our family. We want you to leave as a friend!
