Eastern Canadian Outfitters (ECO) Mer Bleue.
Our motto of “Where the pavement ends, Adventure Begins” couldn’t be more true as our exclusive 27 sq. km (7000 Acres) territory is easily accessible by the smallest or fanciest of vehicles but when the pavement ends at the cabins….you are left at the doorstep of hundreds of thousands of square kilometres of lakes, rivers, logging roads, forests and wildlife! Welcome to the rolling hills of the Gatineau Valley, Quebec
As a Fish and Wildlife management technician by trade with 20+ years of experience working with Fish and Wildlife agencies, I have a plan! My plan is simple, to ensure not only the sustainable management of the forests, fish and wildlife of the territory but to enhance it.
This doesn’t always mean more numbers, but generally means larger and healthier fish and wildlife for all visitors to enjoy. I will be working with both the Quebec government and guests of the lodge to implement many voluntary management measures to produce bigger white-tailed deer and black bear and more moose, walleye and brook trout within the outfitting territory. For more details on the management plans please check under the Fishing and Hunting pages.
As you will see by exploring our website, we will be offering both rustic and four star accommodations to meet or exceed anyone’s expectations. From these comfortable cabins you can enjoy fishing for lake trout, brook trout, pike and small and large mouth bass. You can hunt with archery (bow/crossbow), muzzleloader or rifle for monster whitetails, moose and black bears and of course a variety of small game including timber wolves, coyotes, grouse and snowshoe hare.
From early July to mid September we encourage families to come and enjoy the area with our own young family where children can enjoy berry picking, hiking, ATV’ing, swimming at one of the numerous sandy beaches or playing at our playground. Of course nothing beats roasting marshmallows at the campfire on the shores of your waterfront cabin to end the day!
We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to all the Gatineau Valley has to offer!!
