Russell and Julie Lovemore started “Safari Trails International” in 1998 and from its humble beginnings it has become a major player in the Southern African hunting industry. Offering hunts all over Southern Africa, with South Africa and Mozambique being the main focus.

Russell is a sixth generation South African rancher who started hunting at a young age, having been introduced to it by his grandfather. Russell has been hunting professionally since 1996 and has gained vast experience in both plains and dangerous game. He has hunted in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Cameroon.

With experienced and seasoned professional hunters, you the hunter, are assured of a great safari. Our aim is to provide each and every hunter with an ethical, fair chase hunt that will not only provide a challenge but also great trophies and memories and experiences “For a Lifetime”.

Safari Trails International (STI) holds the hunting rights too many thousands of acres in the Eastern Cape where we can offer over 40 species to both the first time hunter as well as the seasoned Safari hunters. We use a number of different lodges around the Eastern Cape to ensure that daily travel is kept to a minimum. Each hunt is structured in such a way that you will spend time in whichever lodge is best suited to your requirements and the area in which your chosen species occur. We have always encouraged family hunts and welcome young hunters and first-time hunters.

We are busy concluding our merger with good friend and well known professional hunter and outfitter Andrew Harvey of “Andrew Harvey Safaris”. Andrew and his wife Mandy will certainly bring much expertise to the benefit of Safari Trails International. These two companies will now be one.

We have concluded our search and negotiations and now have our own area in Mozambique. We have formed a separate company," Safari Trails Mozambique" which will operate our Mozambique company "Chawalo Safari's" We are now able to offer some of the very finest Crocodile and Hippo hunting anywhere on the planet. (We currently have a ban on the hippo hunting, which we are hopeful will open again in 2016). We are also able to offer Leopard, Lion, Elephant, Hyena, Kudu, Chobe Bushbuck, Sharpe's Grysbuck, Impala, Common Reedbuck, Warthog and bush pig. We are very excited about Chawalo and have great plans for the improvement of the area. We really look forward to sharing one of our many campfires with you soon.
