Visited by fishermen, hunters, their families and friends, Presqu'ile Cottages offers its guests accessibility, plenty of privacy, and comfort amid Northern Ontario's most enchanting landscape, the French River area.

The French River is located approximately 320 kilometers north of Toronto and about 60 kilometers south of Sudbury. It leaves Lake Nipissing on a westerly route for 130 kilometers to reach Georgian Bay on Lake Huron. The French River is a long series of island dotted lakes connected by rapids and falls that gently lower the river a total of 20 meters. It is a boating and canoeing paradise that provides a variety of opportunities to suit every taste. Presqu'ile Cottages is located along the northern channel of the French River.

The whole family will enjoy the outdoor opportunities at Presqu'ile Cottages. Boating, sight-seeing, hiking, camping, canoeing, horseshoe pitching, and berry picking are just a few of the many fun filled vacation activities enjoyed by our guests during their stay. For those in search of adventure, a climb to the tip of the White Mountain is highly rewarding with an 80 kilometer radius view of the rugged terrain below.

There are many points of interest on the river itself accessible to boaters, canoeists and hikers alike. Known internationally for its rugged shoreline landscapes, the French River calls outdoor enthusiasts to explore the many large bays and islands lining its course. Along the heavily wooded shore, wildlife is in abundance offering many photographic opportunities for the camera buff.

Several golf courses, mini putts, and driving ranges are located only a few miles from Presqu'ile and are used by many avid golfers throughout the summer months.

The natural, sandy shoreline provides a safe beach area. Slides and swings will undoubtedly bring many hours of delightful amusement to the children. The clear, clean water also provides a refreshing follow-up to a relaxing day spent basking in the sun. After a day of fun, spend a relaxing evening and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.
