Vuoksi Fishing Park is located on Varpasaari and is a recreation area full of new sights and exciting experiences for the whole family.

This region of Finland has excellent traditional cuisine. Here you will find a seafood restaurant called ‘’Wanha Virveli’’ and all the fish come from our  local fish pool.

The Fishing Park is located in an idyllic camping site and has been especially popular with caravaners.

A gas-fired-sauna called "Räihan Kuohu" which is located in the middle of the island guarantees relaxation to the tired traveller with its soft heat and steam.

A visitor can purchase a fishing permit from the ‘’Wanha Virveli’’ restaurant for fishing in Vuoksi for a variety of stock of its own fish. You can also get advice from a qualified and experienced member of staff about fishing these waters.

The fish restaurant's terrace is situated on the waterfront and is visited by small animals from time to time. The Fish restaurant's terraces on a beautiful   summers day, is the best place to enjoy a wide range of refreshments and snacks and are always served until sunset.

As night falls, there is also a riverboat ride to and from Imatra city centre. Imatra’s wild nightlife is guaranteed to excite your heart rate.

The area is suitable for physically disabled.

The Vuoksi Fishing Park is organizing various activities and events throughout the summer, e.g. the Vuoksi Fish Market in May.

FISHING
 

The Vuoksi Fishing Park provides you with all the necessary fishing permits (Vuoksi, Lake Saimaa, government’s fishing management fee) and tackles. The Park has also a fish pool for guaranteed catch and a smoking oven for preparing it for food.
 

Unguided 24-hour fishing package for two persons 150€. The price includes accommodation with sauna, rowing boat and fishing permits for the river Vuoksi. 

THE VUOKSI BOATMAN

The Vuoksi Boatman takes people on his boat to the river that runs through the town of Imatra.

Sightseeing tours from 15th June to 15th August at 3 p.m. every day, starting from the Vuoksi Fishing Park. 

Boat trips to the frontier zone available for small groups (4 persons or less).
