Lac Perdu

Experience the adventure of a lifetime!

It's all about the fishing, and Lac Perdu is all about fishing, the way it used to be.

Our first 2 guests of the season, early June, left here very happy campers catching over 275 nice size fish. They said they never caught so many fish before, so fast and so big.

Below is an email from guests a little later in the season in August. Proving the fishing is always fantastic.

Karen, I wanted to let you know that my fishing group had a great time at your fishing lodge this past week. Andy and Gayle were wonderful host’s, always there for whatever we needed. Andy is a special person with a big heart and a willingness to provide the ultimate experience for his guests. Andy was at the boats every morning at sunrise to make sure that we got off to a great start every day. Gayle was an equal pleasure willing to do whatever for us as well. On two occasions she baked our group a loaf of homemade bread and treated the group to a homemade bean and ham supper which was superb. The accommodations were very nice and quite comfortable for the group. Andy allowed us to cook and eat dinner in the big lodge which had everything we needed for cooking. The boats were great, they ran well, were spacious and well equipped, couldn’t ask for anything more. I would like to book a return trip to Lac Perdu for the third week of August 2014. Looks like we would be bringing a group of 12. We double checked with Andy to see if we could bring 12 and he said that it would be ok as we do only catch and release and would not exert any fishing pressure on the lake. As an example, we kept 1 lake trout 26” for dinner and 10 brook trout, all others were returned in the same condition as they came out of the lake. I do not have a final total on the number of fish caught but I would estimate that we caught somewhere in the vicinity of 450 fish over the course of the week. Had the Pike fishing been better we would have added another 150 fish to that count. Pike were deep as a result of the low water and not in the weed beds where they typically are at this time of the year. I am in the process of gathering pictures of fish for you to use on your web site if so desired as well as a testimonial to the fishing and accommodations experienced at Lac Perdu. Please do not hesitate to use me as a reference for your lodge as I was absolutely blown away by the people, accommodations, equipment and most important the fishing. Thanks again. Lou
