Waterfront Lodge

Northern Pride Lodge is a welcome option to the usual Greenville, Maine bed and breakfast accommodations and other Moosehead Lake lodging. Our nearby waterfront location on First Roach Pond in Kokadjo is one of the most scenic and pristine spots for your vacation getaways.

Fly fishing

Our drift boat trips are so popular because they are easy, fun and productive. There's no wading in fast currents on slippery rocks, you are securely seated or standing supported by thigh braces as Wayne expertly positions you for optimal casting to holding fish.

Black Bear Hunting in Maine

Maine is blessed with a healthy, stable population of black bear, conservatively estimated at 35,000. Statewide we average 9 bears/100 square miles; in our area, WMD 9, the percentage is much higher. Our region in north central Maine, is a consistent producer of adult bears each season and the new state record bear weighing 699 lbs.

Whitetail Deer Hunting in Maine

The lodge is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres owned by large paper companies, all open to hunting. The terrain varies from large cedar and spruce swamps to high, open hardwood ridges with open clear cuts scattered throughout most of the area.

The deer grow large because of the abundance of feed associated to the large cutting operations and beech ridges. In addition, the hunting pressure is low, resulting in mature bucks being harvested. Many deer are taken with a dressed weight over 200#, with occasional deer dressing 260-280#.
