JACK HUME ADVENTURES

Join us on an all-inclusive Quebec caribou hunting expedition from Montreal’s urban setting, to the rugged and vast tundra of Nunavik with Quebec's premiere caribou hunting outfitter.

Far from the reaches of civilization, we take you on an adventure where over 400 000 of Quebec's Leaf River caribou embark on their yearly migration from mid-August to early October. Spend 6 days at one of our 40+ caribou hunting camps with the opportunity to harvest caribou, black bear and ptarmigan, as well as test your angling skills on pristine lakes and rivers that abound with trophy lake trout, brook trout, northern pike, and landlocked arctic char.  The scenery alone is breathtaking!

Our mission is to provide quality adventures to small groups of outdoor enthusiasts.  We concentrate on personal service, ease of transportation, safety, fair chase and of course location, location, location!  We have been one step ahead of the caribou migration for over 30 years and have maintained  a 90-100% success rate throughout.  We are outfitters - not salesmen, and as a family run business we strive to create lifetime memories for groups of  family and friends in an area that is out of this world, and close to our hearts.

DELAY RIVER FISHING

Located in Nunavik, 830 miles north of Montreal by Air, the Delay River has been a destination of choice for fishermen from Europe, the United States and Canada.

The Delay River is home to the most fascinating of fish, the Atlantic salmon.  The river offers a magnificent waterway that is pristine and unspoiled by human traffic.  This exceptional fishing area, with rapids worthy of the most daring adventurers and breathtaking mountainous shorelines, is home to the Atlantic salmon who follow their yearly migration route from their estuary in Ungava Bay and up the Koksoak River until its confluence with the Delay River.

Our fishing season runs from mid-July to early September.  Until August 15th spin-casting is permitted, while fly-fishing is authorized throughout our season.   Fishermen can wage their battle with the powerful salmon either on shore or by boat.

In a recent study conducted by biologists, the Delay River has the highest success rates for Atlantic salmon in the province.  The average catch per fisherman is 2 salmon per day, with an average weight of 5-8 lbs – the largest caught was a whopping 22 lbs!

Join us for an unforgettable experience in this peaceful and serene area where the sound of silence is sure to capture your soul!
