Orange River Tented Camp is situated only 1 km below the Gariepdam and 10 km from the N1 highway. It is ideally situated between Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth. The tenthouses are privately arranged, built on wooden decks with en-suite bathrooms and are equipped with all the modern necessities like electricity, electrical blankets for the cooler nights fridge, kettle and hot showers.
A big Lapa is available for family reunions or team-building. An impressive wooden deck spans the boma and lapa area where you can enjoy a sundowner while watching the sunset over the majestic Orange River.
Each tent has self catering facilities which include a braai area with wood, a gas plate and cutlery. Braai packs with Karoo lamb, are available.
Orange River Tented Camp offers a variety of activities for the discerning nature lover such as fly fishing, canoe safaris, horse riding, hunting, bird watching and hiking
The landscape is incredibly scenic and rustic, and the sound of the river is very calming. The starry night skies are beautiful and mystical.
