Cremorne Holiday Resort is a highly recommended 3 *** holiday resort which offers a variety of accommodation options and services.
You can choose between comfortable bed & breakfast en-suite suites, fully equiped self-catering cottages and fisherman cabins for the rustic adventurer. We have a private slipway and jetty for boat launching and offer fishing from the banks of the river.
14 camp sites spread out along the banks of the river and can accommodate camper vans, caravans and tents. Ablution blocks provide hot showers and flushing toilets.
The annual Grunter Fishing Competition is one of the numerous fishing competitions that is hosted by Cremorne each year. Fisherman come from all over South Africa to fish on the ”Mighty” Umzimvubu River that is famous for providing catches of Cob, Spotted Grunter, Garrick and various other species of fish.
This area is world renowned for Deep Sea as well as Estuarine, Rock and Surf, Fly, Bait and Artlure fishing.
Bring your own boat if you can. Cremorne Estate has its own private slipway and jetty. Guests are welcome to fish from the banks of the river.
Catches include Spotted Grunter, Garrick, Snapper, King Fish, Perch, Sardine, Mackerel and Kob. Private guides and gillies can accompany you on your daily fishing trips by arrangement.
